Exploring the abandoned care home.

Parse hill care home was built in the 70s with the typical layout of a small psychiatric and elderly care home. It had all the usual facilities such as hairdressers, laundry, day rooms and small wards for long stay residents. It was converted to an NHS day hosipital in the 1990s mostly serving to old people with mental health issues.
It has been sold multiple times since its closed but planning applications for conversions to HMOs or residential units have been submitted and rejected repeatedly.

To get inside, I climbed up onto the garages and jumped down. This is the first thing i saw and tried to open the garage. I opened it and peeked in and the smell of old hit me. I looked at the “Warning biohazard” sign put me off going inside.

Inside had a pretty creepy atmosphere with the silence, needles on the floor and darkness enhancing that. I think this used to be the kitchen, which would explain all the stuff left behind.

This is down one of the corridors on the lower floor that was caught in the fire that some kids set on may 2025. According to the news it was 3 fifteen year olds and 2 fourteen year olds. Some BB guns and pellets were also seized. Personally ill never understand the appeal to destroying and burning places like this.

Im assuming this is the room that got set fire to as its in the worst state out of any. The red paint there does look quite cool contrasted on the black but its a shame they had to draw a penis out of everything. Behind me on the wall was a little religious debate which ill show here.

I think this is one of the coolest images just due to the contrast here. I also love the fact that this person struggled to spell “hail”.

This is the elevator shaft on the top floor. I went down to the bottom to try and open the elevator but it was stuck shut. The building is only two floors so im assuming this elevator was for people in wheelchairs and things like that. Due to the fact that the elevator was laying on the bottom floor on a weird angle, im assuming someone snapped the elevator which would have been fun to see. Im also assuming they would have had to jump inside repeatedly as i see no other way to snap an elevator cable.

This is another bit of the building that is burnt down. I think this might have been a separate fire and this wall was smashed instead of burnt. due to the fact that the edges arent charred.

I loved the roof just because of how this smashed sunroof looked in the light. The roof felt quite sturdy but standing on the tile and wood on the right was very scary and didnt feel safe as I could feel tiles cracking under me.

This is the bit under the sunroof. The floor was caked in class but I think this was the best area of the whole building just because of how the sunlight hit it.
This building was a good one but nothing really too special because of how destroyed it is. Most of the building is the same stuff but it does have a very nice creepy atmosphere. I feel like this place will be around for a while due to the fact that I doubt anyone is going to want to buy this.
